In the heart of Coquitlam, a mixed-use development called TriCity Central will be constructed by Marcon Developments and QuadReal Property Group. Also the following outdoor amenities: landscaped podium roof, sports courts, playgrounds, games tables, bocce court, barbecue dining areas, and fire table lounges. Along with exclusive resident amenities, public community amenities will also be available. TriCity Central will have about 20% of public space, which will be built throughout phases. Public amenities includes a gateway plaza, a centre square, and a commercial high street, a city park, a playground, gardens, a 220-space daycare and 9,500 square feet of outdoor play area. The Lougheed Highway will be crossed by a bridge for pedestrians and cyclists, giving a direct path to Coquitlam Central Station.
